The Z41W flange stainless steel gate valve has a gate as its closing component, with the movement direction of the gate being perpendicular to the fluid flow direction. The gate valve can only be fully opened or fully closed; it cannot be used for regulation or throttling. The gate has two sealing surfaces, and the most commonly used mode has the two sealing surfaces forming a wedge shape, with the wedge angle varying according to the valve parameters, typically at 50 degrees, and at lower medium temperatures, it can be 2°52. The wedge gate can be made as a single piece, referred to as a rigid gate; it can also be designed to allow for slight deformation to improve its manufacturability and compensate for deviations in the sealing surface angle that occur during processing, which is known as an elastic gate.
